I know the title is a tad confusing, but allow me to clear it up. Aicok is a Chinese brand that manufacturers high quality kitchen appliances such as bread makers, coffee makers, toasters, air fryers, and many other types of kitchen appliances. During my research, I happened upon a post where someone described the brand as the “Black & Decker of China”. It’s a very good brand, and the reviews of its bread makers on Amazon have been mostly positive.
AICOOK is a sub-brand of Aicok, so they are one and the same. At this point, it appears all bread makers from Aicok are now being produced and sold under the AICOOK brand as I couldn’t find any Aicok bread maker on Amazon. These also look better, more feature-rich, and more modern than the bread makers listed on Aicok’s website, which verifies my suspicion that they now produce all bread makers (and perhaps other products as well) under the AICOOK brand.
So, if you’re interested in an Aicok bread maker, the products reviewed below are the ones you should be considering. At the time of writing this, there are only two of them available – the Queen and the King bread makers. Both of them are reviewed below and I’ll update this review if any of these are replaced or a new model is released.
Reviews of Aicok/AICOOK Bread Makers
One of the main selling points of this bread maker is its technological advancement. AICOOK calls it their most technologically advanced machine that any homeowner can take advantage of to make high quality bread at home like an expert chef, and the “AICOOK” brand name reflects this. AICOOK indicates that this is an intelligent machine, and therefore has superior bread-making capabilities. It’s currently one of the top-selling bread makers on Amazon too.
The first obvious feature of this machine is its compactness. It has a modest size, so it won’t occupy a lot of space on your kitchen counter. This is great for you if you have limited counter space in your kitchen, have a small kitchen, or simply prefer compact kitchen appliances. There are 12 programmable options to choose from on this machine and here they are: basic, French, sweet, dough, whole wheat, quick, sandwich, butter milk, bake, knead, cake, and gluten-free (very important for a bread maker to have).
You can choose from two loaf sizes – 1.5 and 2 lb loaves. This is printed in grams on the machine as 700g and 900g loaf sizes, which are equivalent to 1.5 lb and 2 lb loaves respectively. The crust colors available are the same crust colors that are standard on most bread makers – light, medium, and dark.
As far as timers go, there are two timers on this AICOOK bread maker. One of the timers is a 1-hour keep warm timer that does what its name implies, and the 13-hour delay timer that lets you delay baking for up to 13 hours into the future. This enables you to decide when you want the machine to have a fresh loaf of bread ready on its baking pan. Another important time-related feature on this machine is its 15-minute power interruption feature. This feature keeps the machine active for up to 15 minutes in the event of a power failure so the bread making process isn’t interrupted.
To make cleaning easier, AICOOK added a nonstick baking pan to this machine, which is also dishwasher-safe. The lid is removable and dishwasher-safe too.
This AICOOK bread maker is chock full of features to make bread making easy, and to facilitate the production of excellent loaves of bread. It has a viewing window that is large enough to enable you keep track of the machine’s progress, crust color, and any relevant aspect of your loaf that you’re concerned about. It feels good checking on your loaf through the viewing window and knowing that it’s turning out exactly how you want it to. Activating and deactivating features on the machine is easy thanks to its LCD display and well-labelled buttons.
This machine alerts you when it’s done baking. It also alerts you when it’s time to add fruits and nuts. It kneads dough evenly thanks to its powerful kneading motor and several rows of blades, which causes the machine to knead dough in the same manner a human would manually do it. The machine is also stable during operation thanks to its non-slip base.
Purchasing additional accessories is sometimes a necessity when buying kitchen appliances, but that won’t be necessary with this one as it comes with all the accessories you’ll need. A kneading blade, measuring cup, metal hook, stirring rod, and a double-ended measuring spoon are all included with your purchase.
One of the reasons why many people shy away from baking bread at home is the kneading process. The amount of time and effort it requires is a major concern that puts many off baking. However, a bread maker or machine can get rid of this concern so you can make fresh bread at home without any worries. There are two ways to use bread makers – let it do the kneading and the baking, or do the kneading only, then bake in the traditional way.
Jenny seemed to have a taken a liking to the latter as she got this bread maker and used it for kneading by simply activating the kneading and dough function one after the other. Her dough was ready in about 2 hours and she baked it into bread afterwards. She expressed her love for baking, and the kneading process as the only impediment she’s been facing. Getting this machine has resolved that issue once and for all and she can now make bread easily at home whenever she wants.
Another reviewer was interested in a bread maker for gluten-free bread and decided to get this one. Their first observation had to do with the appearance of the machine. According to this reviewer, it looks beautiful, both inside and out, and the main reason why they like the machine so much is its gluten-free program which is an indispensable feature due to their son’s allergies.
Another reviewer also commented on how useful the gluten-free cycle has been for them. Their first loaf was delicious and tasted better than the inferior loaves of bread being sold in stores. This reviewer bought a new machine despite already having a bread maker at home because their current one doesn’t have a gluten-free cycle.
Many other reviewers praised the machine for its ability to make soft and fluffy bread, but quite a few reviewers complained of its instruction booklet not being clear/accurate enough. I believe a bread machine cookbook would negate this issue so you won’t have to use the instruction booklet at all. The final review I’m going to talk about is from Dooner, who called this machine the best they’ve owned, out of all 5 they’ve owned in the past. It’s easy to store in the closet thanks to its compactness and move to the counter when it’s needed, easy to clean, and light in weight. These were the highlights of their review. The AICOOK King bread maker’s features are mostly similar to the Queen model’s features, save for a few key differences. The King model has 19 settings as opposed to the 17 settings on the Queen model reviewed above. The King model also has an automatic dispenser for nuts and fruits while the Queen model doesn’t possess this feature. The dispenser is an intelligent one, meaning that it knows the right time to dispense your mix-ins during the baking process. If you prefer to add mix-ins manually, the machine will play a tone at the right time to remind you to add your mix-ins.
This King model is capable of baking 1.5 lb and 2 lb loaves of bread, and it bakes them evenly thanks to its bread pan which is designed to achieve even baking. To get the baking process started, you simply need to put all the ingredients in the machine, pick your settings such as the cycle, crust color, and size, start the machine, and take your fresh loaf of bread out of the pan when you hear the alert that notifies you that your loaf is ready. The options available on this machine are: basic bread, whole wheat, ultra-fast, quick bread, French bread , cake, sandwich, bake, dough, jam, gluten-free, DIY, and mix-stir.
The DIY option lets you customize the settings by choosing your own knead, rise, bake, and keep warm time, while the ultra-fast option speeds up the baking time by reducing it to about 2 hours instead of the usual 3 hours. The available crust shades are medium, dark, and light.
The machine has a large LCD display and intuitive buttons on its panel that make it easy to use, even for first-time users. With these intuitive buttons, you can make use of all the standard and special features on the machine, such as the 1-hour keep warm feature that keeps your loaf warm after baking for approximately one hour, and the 13-hour delay timer. This machine also offers 15 minutes of backup power to keep it running for up to 15 minutes in the event of a power interruption. It has a viewing window too, as all bread makers should.
Thanks to its removable nonstick bread pan, dough doesn’t stick to the pan, which means it’s easy to clean after use. The AICOOK King bread maker also has the powerful kneading motor present in the Queen model, and comes with the same accessories – measuring cup/spoon, stirring rod, metal hook, and kneading blade.
Lucy, the top reviewer of this product on Amazon, gave it 5 stars due to its wonderful features which she listed in her review. She liked the squarish shape of the pan which allows the kneading blade reach the corners of the pan and makes sure all the flour in the pan are mixed together. She also liked the ultra-fast and DIY options, and the automatic dispenser and metal hook included in the package.
She however doesn’t like the fact that you have position the bread pan correctly in order to get it into a balanced position due to the somewhat rectangular shape of the pan. The absence of an online manual is another thing she doesn’t like about this product.
Another reviewer received a faulty and inoperable unit and couldn’t get a response from the seller after contacting them. I don’t know if they eventually responded, but receiving a faulty unit is a rare occurrence and doesn’t detract from the quality of this machine as it was never used or tested by the reviewer.
Stan mentioned that although this product looks like a Chinese machine (they have a unique way of making appliances and you’ll definitely find similarities between products manufactured by Chinese companies even if they’re from different brands), it makes excellent homemade bread nevertheless and they’re delighted to have it. He gave it a 5-star rating too. You can read more reviews of this bread maker by clicking the button below.
Yes, You Should Buy an Aicok/AICOOK Bread Maker
Just in case you were wondering, that’s my answer. In my opinion, they’re worth the money. I didn’t think much of their bread makers at first, but after completing my research on the brand, reading tons of reviews of their kitchen appliances, and writing my own reviews of their bread makers, I can definitely say they make high quality kitchen products, and their bread makers are no exception. If you want the extra features like the automatic fruit/nut dispenser, DIY/custom option, and the rest of the additional features, consider getting the King model which has a bigger price tag of course. If these additional features don’t matter to you, then get the Queen model.
