Zojirushi BB-PDC20BA Virtuoso Plus Bread Machine Review

If you have any sort of interest in bread machines, you’ve probably already heard about the Zojirushi brand or used one of their bread machines in the past. Zojirushi is up there with the top bread machine brands on the market today, and the model I’m reviewing today is the Zojirushi BB-PDC20 bread maker.

This model happens to be a product loved by people who prefer making their own bread at home, so much so that it has a near-perfect 4.7 out of 5 star rating on Amazon at the time of writing this. The first feature of this bread maker I’m going to talk about is its double kneading blades. The quality of bread a bread maker produces is highly dependent on how well it kneads dough. Double kneading blades mean it kneads dough more thoroughly than machines with single blades.

It seems Zojirushi decided to double everything on this bread maker, because it doesn’t just have double kneading blades, it also has dual heaters whose purpose is to enable the machine to bake and brown your loaves more evenly. These dual heaters are also doubled, because they aren’t just located at the bottom of the machine. There are dual heaters at the top of the machine (on the lid) as well.

If you enjoy watching your loaf bake, you’ll like the large viewing window on the lid of this machine. With this window, you can watch your loaf knead, rise, and bake and ensure that everything is running smoothly. But that’s not all you get for your viewing pleasure. The viewing continues with the large LCD display beside the viewing window, whose purpose you already know.

You can pretty much make all types of bread in this machine, thanks to all the courses it supports. You can even make bread for people with special requirements. Want gluten-free bread? Put in your ingredients and select the gluten-free course. Want salt-free, sugar-free, or vegan bread? Do the same with the salt-free, sugar-free, or vegan course. You can also make cake, jam, and dough as there are courses for these too.

If the prebuilt courses aren’t sufficient enough for you, you can make your own custom courses with the homemade course and you can save up to three of these in the bread maker’s memory for use at any time in the future.

There’s a 13-hour delay timer and rapid courses for much faster baking as well. You get measuring cups and a measuring spoon along with the bread maker when you buy these too! Wondering if I’d recommend this bread maker? Yes, I would. Click here to read more about this bread maker or buy it at the best price.
